The Eagle, Cambridge

Cambridge, and near the centre is a pub called 'The Eagle'..
During the war it was extremely popular with crews and pilots of both U.S. and RAF squadrons..
Burned almost everywhere, walls, and on the ceiling are messages and squadron numbers often from people who never returned..

Also, almost everywhere, you will find mementos from current units of multiple nations, some you can see on the walls and by the bar..
Sorry its gloomy but no flashes are allowed to preserve the marks..
